Option A: Connect Meta (recommended)
- On your site page, click "Connect Meta".
- Sign in with the Meta account that manages your store's pixel.
- The console lists the datasets you can access: pick the right one, then click Save destinations.
No token to handle: the authorization is managed by Meta and can be revoked at any time from your Business Manager.
Option B: manual entry
| Field | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Meta Pixel ID | Events Manager > Data sources: the numeric identifier of the pixel or dataset |
| Meta CAPI access token | Events Manager > select the pixel > Settings > Conversions API section > Generate access token |
| Meta test event code (optional) | Events Manager > Test Events tab: a code like TEST12345 |
Verify
- After saving, the console automatically tests the credentials and shows the result.
- Fill in the test event code, send a test event from your module, and watch it arrive in the Test Events tab of Events Manager.
Improving attribution
Meta attributes better when events carry rich matching data: e-mail, phone, IP and user agent, fbp and fbc cookies. DataFirefly modules pass them automatically when they are available and consent allows it.
